Hi there! I’m Jeniffer, a Florida licensed cosmetologist and aesthetician. For the longest time I struggled with what my purpose is in life. God continues to show me. One of my spiritual gifts is exhortation, which is to be encouraging. Over the last 18 years I have found this to be one of greatest strengths. Whether I was working with a client in my salon, on-site with a bride or supporting my children as they work through life. Being able to help others see the positive in a situation and help encourage them to move forward when it seems impossible, truly warms my heart. This gift has allowed me to touch the lives of others. It also helped me stay grounded while going through my own journey with Stage IIB Triple Positive HER2 breast cancer. I truly believe my passion for creating art with makeup and hair, using a myself as the canvas, is what helped me feel beautiful when I was at my lowest. I want to help others feel that beauty from the inside out.
Before my diagnosis, I was an accomplished business woman. I had just opened my second hair salon. I was a sought after wedding hair and makeup artist. I had appeared on The Weather Channel sharing tips on how to look incredible for your beach wedding. My salon had been nominated for 2 years in a row as one of the top 10 salons in our area where we participated in a major makeover competition. We placed second runner up our first year. I had worked for several HGTV production crews and several magazines. And then, breast cancer. Talk about getting knocked down.
After all the treatments, I thought I’d go right back to my full speed life. God has other plans for me. It’s been a struggle. I finally realized that it doesn’t have to be a struggle. Now, it’s how to take my encouraging nature, my love for beauty and know how to step into the virtual world to help others.
